Who we are
Orion Education (Behind Baadshah Halwai Mandir, Bhim Nagar, Polipather, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh 482008) runs this website (orioneducation.in), the Orion Education App (learn.orioneducation.in) and the sign-in both use (auth.orioneducation.in). This policy covers all three. Questions about it go to orionjbpin@gmail.com.
What we keep
On this website, we don't ask for anything about you. Your choice of light or dark theme is kept in your own browser and never sent to us. Our web server records each request (your IP address, the page, the time and your browser) to keep the site secure. The Contact page's map is Google Maps, loaded from Google. The contact form sends nothing to us: it opens your own email or WhatsApp, with your message filled in, for you to send.
Your account: your name, username and email address, and your password, which our sign-in keeps only as a secure hash, never as you typed it.
If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive from them your name, your email address and an identifier for your account, and nothing else: never your password, your contacts, your files or your mail.
Using the App: your practice (the questions you answer, your scores, your typing results, your plan and your progress), so the App can show where you stand and what to practise next.
If your institute registered you, your supervisor there sees your name, the exams you're preparing for and your progress.
How we use it
To sign you in, run the App and show your progress; to email you about your account (confirming your email address, resetting your password); and to keep the service secure.
We don't sell or rent what we keep, share it for advertising, show advertisements, or use any third-party tracking.
Information from Google
The Orion Education App's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We ask Google only for your name, email address and account identifier, and use them only to sign you in and to know your account.
Where it is kept
On Orion Education's own servers, reached only over encrypted connections, and seen only by the people at Orion Education who need to, to run the service.
How long we keep it
Your account and your practice, for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove it within 30 days; our backups, which we keep for 14 days, expire after that. Our web server's records are kept for 14 days.
Your choices
You can ask us what we keep about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything with it: write to orionjbpin@gmail.com from the email address on your account.
Younger students
If you're under 18, use the App with your parent's or guardian's permission.
Changes to this policy
When we change it, we change this page and the date at its top. The terms of use say how the website and the App may be used.
